2025 Young Singer Art Song Competition
Singers ages 18-30 have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and have their performance streamed on the Calliope’s Call YouTube Channel!
Founded in 2014, Calliope’s Call is an innovative art song performance group that concertizes around the United States. Our artists are professional emerging and established singers and instrumentalists who are dedicated to the performance of vocal chamber music and classical art song. Calliope’s Call creates unique and dynamic programs of works by traditional composers as well as living composers of contemporary music to share the entire spectrum of the art song repertoire with audiences.

Winners Announced: May 1, 2025

Cost: $20
Ages: 18-30
Awards
Three winners will be selected:
$300 Best overall performance
$200 Best performance of a contemporary work (post-1990)
$200 Best performance of a non-contemporary work (pre-1990)
Registration
All applicants must fill out the online registration form, due April 1, 2025 by 11:59pm.
Online Registration Fee (submit using Zeffy below) is $20
Submit live recorded videos [Links to YouTube or Link to Cloud Service is acceptable] (no audio-only videos please)
Audition Requirements & Process
Each applicant must perform 2 Art Song selections from memory
1 selection must be by a BIPOC composer and/or written post-1990
No Broadway or Opera selections please
Every applicant receives written feedback from judges
